What we've shipped

Every update, fix, and improvement — in the order we shipped them.

v1.3April 23, 2026Latest

Paid Plans & Collaboration Unlock

Subscribe to Basic or Pro to unlock real-time collaboration, invite your supervisor, and remove the project limit.

Paystack Subscriptions

Feature

You can now subscribe to Thia Basic ($5/mo) or Thia Pro ($40/mo) directly inside the app. A secure Paystack popup handles payment — no redirects, no broken flows.

Collaboration Gating

Feature

Real-time collaboration is now a paid feature. Free users can still write and work offline; subscribing unlocks the Invite button so you can add your supervisor and group members.

Project Limit for Free Users

Feature

Free accounts are limited to one project. If you need more, upgrading to Basic or Pro removes that limit and opens up everything.

v1.2April 22, 2026

Mentions, Assets & Polish

Reference your sources and media inline while you write. Faster asset imports and better formatting controls.

Inline Mentions

Feature

Type @ anywhere in a document to instantly reference another document, image, video, or citation — without leaving the page. The mention stays linked so your references always point to the right place.

Asset Import

Feature

Upload images and videos directly from the Assets tab. Select multiple files at once and they appear in your project immediately, ready to drop into any document.

What's New Carousel

Feature

The What's New dialog now walks you through each new feature one at a time with live previews, so you never miss something useful.

Heading Formatting

Fix

Changing the colour or alignment of heading text now works correctly. Previously, some formatting changes would appear not to apply — this is fully fixed.

Text Colour Selection

Fix

Selecting text and picking a colour no longer deselects your text mid-action. The formatting applies exactly where you intended, every time.

v1.1April 21, 2026

Offline Mode & Editor Overhaul

Keep writing even without internet. A richer editor toolbar, reorganised sidebar, and a way to send us feedback.

Offline Mode

Feature

Lost your connection? Keep writing. Thia works fully offline and automatically saves everything you do. Your work syncs back the moment you reconnect — no data lost, no manual steps.

Word-like Editor Toolbar

Feature

The editor now has a full formatting toolbar — font, size, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, text colour, highlight, headings, alignment, lists, blockquote, images, and more. Everything you need to produce a polished, submission-ready document.

Docs / Lab Tabs

Feature

The workspace now has a Docs tab for your writing and a Lab tab coming soon — a dedicated space for experiments, notes, and research.

Drag-and-drop Sidebar

Feature

Reorganise your documents, assets, and references by dragging them into any order. Structure your project exactly the way your institution expects it.

Feedback Button

Feature

Found a problem or have an idea? Hit the feedback button in the workspace toolbar to send it directly to us. We read every submission.

What's New Dialog

Feature

A new-features dialog now appears after each update so you always know what's changed without having to go looking.
